We shall consider exceptions to policy or contract requirements, such as procedures for collecting evidence of insurability or other rating and underwriting rules for a minimum of 60 days for individuals affected by the damaging floods and destructive storms that have impacted residents of a number of Midwestern states. The Illinois Division of Insurance is available for filing a complaint regarding any disaster-related dispute or issue. Policyholders who reside in these affected areas have been identified and will immediately be granted an additional grace period for payment of premiums owed through August 31st.
